If you need to see your GP, then you can book an appointment. Our appointments are booked at 10-minute intervals.
How to book an appointment

Our phone lines are busiest everyday between 8:30 -9:30 and 13.00- 14:00.
Our appointment line is closed after 5:30.
Doctors’ Surgeries
Doctors’ surgeries are available daily on weekdays, throughout the day except lunchtime; see our Opening Hours.
How to book an appointment through a SMS link
If you have a mobile number registered with us, this allows us to send appointment invites to you by SMS. This will allow you to book your appointment through a link, saving you time in calling the surgery.

Types of appointments
At The Avenue Surgery, Warminster, we offer different appointments to help you get the care you need as soon as possible.
Routine appointments
We aim to give you a routine appointment to see a GP within 48 hours of receiving your online request.
Urgent appointments
If your appointment is urgent, we’ll arrange for a GP to see you on the same day.
You can also call NHS 111 for general medical advice.
Primary Care Nurse Clinics
Nurse appointments are available daily for the assessment of urgent medical problems.
They are able to monitor chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, asthma and chronic airways disease.
Walk-in Services
We do not offer walk in services – all appointments have to be triaged to allow us to maintain a Covid secure environment. Patients with minor injuries should present at Frome or Trowbridge Minor Injury Units. Trowbridge Minor Injury unit DO NOT offer a walk in service and appointments can be accessed by phoning 111.
Telephone Consultations
Our telephone service is available from 08:30 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday.
All telephone conversations are recorded for medico-legal and training purposes.
