I joined the Practice in October 2023 as The Practice Manager, previous to this I spent 19 years working within Social Care. I began my career as a support worker in 2004 with a nationally recognised company working with Children & Young People with Autistic Spectrum Conditions, over 10 years with the company I undertook various roles within Residential Specialist Schools, Care homes and Childrens homes, holding various positions of Team Leader, Senior Team Leader, Deputy Manager and Manager. In the summer of 2014, I moved into working with Adults with Learning Disabilities in Bath and North East Somerset, Managing Day Services initially, but over 9 years expanding my role to encompass seven different Specialist Provider Services for Adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism, with a total of 140 staff. The skills and knowledge in Leadership and Management I have gained over the 19 years in Social Care has led me into Practice Management within Primary Care and General Practice.

I have been working within Primary care at the practice since April 2011, when I joined as the reception team leader. I have always had an interest in people management and was able to study to achieve a diploma within this field and was promoted into the role of HR Manager in 2016. I am a mental health first aider as well as the menopause champion for the practice staff members. My job summary within the practice is the delivery of people management strategies in support of the practice strategic aims. To not only deal with staff welfare and administration-centred activities, but also strategy and planning, adding value to the organisation. The finance side of my role includes all aspects of the smooth running of the practice, controlling spends, payroll and pension management. Interests outside of work include attending fitness classes, walking, spending time in open spaces and international travel.
